PRODUCTS MADE BY WOMEN OF INDIGENOUS AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN NORTHERN ARGENTINA.

Our products are completely handmade by Women of the Northern Argentinean Indigenous WICHI COMMUNITY, in the Province of Formosa, Argentina.

All these women have learned from their mothers and grandmothers the art of create wonderful baskets, trays, clothing, bags and other products from vegetable fibers.
They know that the most beautiful pigments are those obtained from roots, barks and resins of plants which grow in the Bushes.
The work of the fiber of the chaguar is an exclusive task of Wichi women, the men help with the load. The chaguar plant is a bromeliad (a type of tropical plant) that grows in the bushes of The Gran Chaco Area. Fibers are extracted from its leaves.

These Artisans are free and intuitive. They work together in community, applying ancient techniques and producing unique handcrafted pieces.

NATURAL FIBER PRODUCTS SHOULD NOT BE WASHED. DRY CLEANING ONLY.

EACH PIECE IS UNIQUE AND NAMED AFTER THE ARTISAN.

THE ART OBJECTS THEY PRODUCE ARE THEIR SOURCE OF WORK AND PROMOTE THE CULTURAL MEANINGS OF THEIR COMMUNITY.
