This beautiful and unique one-of-a-kind crossbody cell phone bag is completely handmade of chaguar threads, obtained from the fibers of chaguar plants. It has a button that closes the lids so your cell phone is well secured inside.

Chaguar items are completely handmade by Women of the Northern Argentinean Indigenous WICHI COMMUNITY, settled in the Gran Chaco Area of Northern Argentina.

The women of the Wichi Community have learned from their mothers and grandmothers the art of create wonderful clothing and bags and other products from vegetable fibers.

They know that the most beautiful pigments, are those obtained from roots, barks and resins of plants which grow in the Bushes.

The work of the fiber of the chaguar is an exclusive task of  Wichi women, the men help with the load. The chaguar plant is a bromeliad (a type of tropical plant) that grows in the bushes of The Gran Chaco Area. Fibers are extracted from its leaves.

All these Artisans are free and intuitive. They work together in community, applying ancient techniques and producing unique handcrafted pieces.
